According to reports, Dangote is the only Nigerian to make the 75 person list.

Vimtertainment.com notes that he is placed on the 66th position, one step ahead of the US vice president, Mike Pence, who occupies the 67th position.

Forbes takes four factors into consideration when placing individuals on the list; and these are: how many people over whom they have power; the financial resources they control; if they have influence in more than one sphere; and how actively they wield their power to change the world.

In recent times, Dangote has been turning his attention to dairy and sugar farming; earmarking $800 million to buy 50,000 cattle in the hope of producing 500 million litres of milk annually by 2019. The astute industrialist made his fortune in the cement industry.

The billionaire, who is also Africa’s richest man, said he also intends to spend as much as $50 billion in the next decade on renewable energy and petrochemical refineries, making investments in the United States and Europe.
